3.3 Connections

- Audio Input: Connect the XLR output from your mixer or main PA system to the INPUT 1 or INPUT 2 XLR connectors on the subwoofer's rear panel.

4. Operating
4.1 Power On/Off
After all connections are made, switch on your mixer and any full-range speakers first. Then, power on the B1500XP using the power switch on the rear panel. When powering down, switch off the subwoofer first, then your full-range speakers and mixer.
4.2 Controls and Indicators
- GAIN Control: Adjusts the overall input sensitivity of the subwoofer. Start with this control at its minimum setting and gradually increase it to achieve the desired bass level in relation to your main speakers.
- CROSSOVER Frequency Knob: This control sets the upper frequency limit for the subwoofer and the lower frequency limit for the signal sent to your full-range speakers via the XLR outputs. Adjust this to blend seamlessly with your main speakers. Common settings range from 80 Hz to 120 Hz.
- PHASE Switch: This switch allows you to invert the phase of the subwoofer's output. If the bass sounds weak or hollow, try flipping this switch. The correct phase setting will result in a fuller, more impactful bass response.
- BASS BOOST Switch: Engages a low-frequency enhancement circuit for added punch and impact. Use this feature judiciously to avoid over-driving the speaker or creating an unbalanced sound.
- LIMIT LED: Illuminates when the internal limiter is active, indicating that the amplifier is approaching its maximum output. Occasional flickering is normal, but if it stays lit constantly, reduce the GAIN control to prevent distortion and potential damage.
- SIGNAL LED: Indicates the presence of an audio signal.
- POWER LED: Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
