4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
3. Insert the included 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To turn the device ON, press the power button (located at the bottom right of the front panel).
• To turn the device OFF, press and hold the power button for a few seconds. The device will also automatically shut down after 12 minutes of inactivity.

5.2 Changing Measurement Units and Modes

• Press the MODE button to cycle through different measurement displays: normal temperature (Celsius/Fahrenheit), dew point temperature (Celsius/Fahrenheit), and wet bulb temperature (Celsius/Fahrenheit).
• The upper display shows relative humidity (%RH), while the lower display shows the selected temperature mode.

5.3 Max/Min Hold Function

• Press the MAX/MIN button to display the maximum or minimum recorded values for humidity and temperature.
• Pressing it repeatedly will cycle between MAX, MIN, and current readings.

5.4 Backlight Feature

• To activate the backlight, press and hold the MODE button.
• The backlight will automatically turn off after approximately 40 seconds to conserve battery.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
• Probe Care: Handle the industrial probe with care to avoid damage. Keep it clean and free from dust or debris for accurate readings.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Display/Device Not Turning On: Check if the 9V battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
• Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the probe is clean and unobstructed. Allow the device to stabilize in the measurement environment for a few minutes before taking readings. Avoid placing the device near heat sources or in direct airflow.
• Backlight Not Working: Ensure the device is powered on. If the backlight still does not activate, check the battery level.
