3. Setup
3.1 Unfolding the Tripod Legs

- Tighten the base locking knob on the ball head to prevent unwanted rotation.
3.3 Mounting Your Camera

- Open the quick release clamp on the C-10S ball head.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Leg Angles
Each leg features an angle adjustment lock. Press the lock and move the leg to one of the predefined angles (e.g., narrow, medium, wide stance), then release the lock to secure it.
4.2 Adjusting Ball Head Position
- Loosen the main locking knob on the C-10S ball head.
- Position your camera to the desired angle (tilt, pan, or rotate).
- Tighten the main locking knob firmly to secure the camera's position.
4.3 Panoramic Rotation
The base of the C-10S ball head can rotate 360 degrees for panoramic shots. Loosen the panoramic locking knob, rotate the head to the desired position using the degree markings, and then tighten the knob.
4.4 Using the Center Column
The center column can be extended for additional height. Loosen the center column locking knob, raise the column to the desired height, and then tighten the knob. For low-angle shots, the center column can be removed entirely by unscrewing it from the tripod base.

5. Maintenance
- Regularly clean the tripod legs and ball head with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish and components.
- Periodically check all screws, locking mechanisms, and leg locks for tightness. Tighten any loose components carefully.
- Store the tripod in its provided transport bag in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
- Do not lubricate the twist locks or ball head unless specifically instructed by Sirui, as this can attract dirt and impair function.
6. Troubleshooting
- Problem: Tripod is unstable.
Solution: Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and twist locks are securely tightened. Verify that the ball head is firmly attached to the tripod. For added stability, hang a weight (e.g., your camera bag) from the carabiner hook located at the bottom of the center column.
- Problem: Camera slides or rotates in the quick release clamp.
Solution: Ensure the TY-C10 quick release plate is securely attached to your camera. Make sure the quick release clamp's main locking knob is fully tightened and the safety lock system is engaged.
- Problem: Leg sections are difficult to extend or retract.
Solution: The twist locks may be overtightened or dirty. Gently clean the leg sections and twist locks. Do not force the mechanism. If the issue persists, contact Sirui customer support.
