Setup and Placement
Follow these steps for optimal placement and activation of the ant killer bait stations:
- Preparation: Identify areas where ants are present or frequently observed. Common areas include along baseboards, under sinks, in cabinets, near food preparation areas, and along ant trails.
- Activation: To activate the bait station, locate the small, pre-scored openings on the side of the station. Use a screwdriver or similar tool to gently poke through these openings, creating entry points for the ants. Ensure all four openings are clear.
- Placement: Place the bait stations on a flat surface, preferably upside down, in areas where ants are active. For best results, place multiple bait stations in different locations where ants are seen.
- Outdoor Use: For outdoor use, place bait stations near ant trails, entry points to your home, or ant nests. Protect bait stations from rain by placing them under a slab of rock or bricks if necessary.

Operating Instructions
The PIC HomePlus Ant Killer works by attracting worker ants to the bait. The ants consume the bait and carry it back to their colony, including the queen, effectively eliminating the entire colony.
- Initial Activity: You may observe increased ant activity around the bait stations initially. This indicates that ants are feeding on the bait and transporting it to the colony.
- Time to Effect: Worker ants typically begin to die within 24 hours of consuming the bait. Complete colony elimination may take several days to a week, depending on the size of the infestation.
- Replacement: Replace bait stations every three months, or sooner if the bait is consumed or the stations are heavily soiled.
- Do Not Disturb: Avoid disturbing the ants or the bait stations during the treatment period. Allow the ants to freely access and transport the bait.
Maintenance
Minimal maintenance is required for the PIC HomePlus Ant Killer bait stations:
- Periodically check bait stations to ensure they are still intact and accessible to ants.
- If a bait station becomes damaged or empty, replace it with a new one.
- Keep the area around the bait stations clean and free of other food sources to maximize the bait's attractiveness.
Troubleshooting
- No Ant Activity: If ants are not attracted to the bait station, try relocating it to a different area where ant activity is observed. Ensure the openings are fully clear.
- Ants Still Present After Several Days: It may take longer for larger colonies to be eliminated. Ensure enough bait stations are deployed for the size of the infestation. If the problem persists, consider replacing the bait stations or consulting a pest control professional.
- Bait Stations Damaged: If bait stations are damaged by pets or other factors, replace them immediately and ensure they are placed in child and pet-resistant locations.
