3. Setup and Pairing

3.1 Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the keyboard and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

3.2 Pairing with Apple TV (4th Gen / 4K)

  1. Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on. The power switch is located on the side of the keyboard.
  2. On your Apple TV, navigate to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Bluetooth.
  3. The Apple TV will begin searching for Bluetooth devices.
  4. On the iPazzPort keyboard, press and hold the Fn key (bottom left) and the BT key (top left, usually combined with Esc) simultaneously for 3-5 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator light starts blinking. This puts the keyboard into pairing mode.
  5. On your Apple TV screen, select "iPazzPort Keyboard" or a similar name from the list of discovered devices.
  6. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your Apple TV screen using the iPazzPort keyboard and press Enter.
  7. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking and remain solid for a moment, then turn off. The keyboard will appear as "Connected" on your Apple TV.

Note: The keyboard supports Bluetooth 3.0 and does not require a separate USB receiver.

3.3 Attaching the Apple TV Remote

The iPazzPort keyboard features a slot on its back designed to hold your Apple TV remote. Carefully slide your Apple TV remote into this slot. Ensure it is securely seated. The charging port of the Apple TV remote remains accessible while attached.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Keyboard Functions

Once paired, the keyboard functions as a standard QWERTY input device for your connected media player. Use it to type text, search queries, and enter passwords more efficiently than on-screen keyboards.

4.2 Function Keys (Fn)

Many keys have secondary functions, indicated by blue legends. To activate these functions, press and hold the Fn key (bottom left) and then press the desired key. For example, to type numbers, hold Fn and press the corresponding letter key with a blue number legend.

4.3 Power Management

To conserve battery life, turn off the keyboard using the power switch when not in use. The keyboard also features an automatic sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the keyboard with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the device. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Storage

Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
