2. Safety Information

  5. Verify that the safe door opens and closes smoothly after installation.

4. Operating Instructions

The Juwel Series 67/6 Keystar safe operates with a traditional key-locking mechanism.

4.1 Opening the Safe

  1. Insert one of the provided bicifrate keys into the keyhole on the safe door.
  2. Turn the key clockwise (or counter-clockwise, depending on the lock mechanism) until the locking bolts retract.
  3. Pull the door open.

4.2 Closing and Locking the Safe

  1. Ensure all items are properly placed inside the safe and nothing obstructs the door.
  2. Gently push the door closed until it is flush with the safe body.
  3. Insert the key into the keyhole.
  4. Turn the key counter-clockwise (or clockwise) until the locking bolts extend fully, securing the door.
  5. Remove the key and store it in a secure, separate location.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your safe.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Lock Mechanism: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite powder or a non-greasy lubricant to the keyhole to ensure smooth operation of the lock. Do not use oil-based lubricants.
  • Hinges and Bolts: Check the door hinges and locking bolts for any signs of wear or obstruction. Ensure they move freely.
  • Key Care: Handle keys with care. Avoid bending or forcing them. If a key becomes damaged, contact Juwel support for assistance.

6. Troubleshooting
