2. Safety Information

Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the flashlight:

  • Eye Safety: Do not stare directly into the LED light. The high intensity light can cause temporary vision impairment or permanent eye damage.
  • Battery Handling:
    • Always insert batteries with correct polarity (+ and -). Incorrect insertion can cause damage to the flashlight or batteries.
    • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries (e.g., alkaline and rechargeable).
    • Remove batteries if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent potential leakage and corrosion.
    • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
    • If battery leakage occurs, avoid contact with skin and eyes. Clean the battery compartment thoroughly before installing new batteries.
  • Water Resistance: This flashlight is rated IPX4, meaning it is resistant to splashing water from any direction. It is not designed for submersion. Do not immerse the flashlight in water.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The flashlight requires 6 AA alkaline batteries (included). Follow these steps to install or replace batteries:

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Carefully remove the battery cartridge from the flashlight body.
  3. Insert 6 AA batteries into the cartridge, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the cartridge. Incorrect polarity can prevent the flashlight from functioning.
  4. Slide the loaded battery cartridge back into the flashlight body, ensuring it is fully seated.
  5. Screw the tail cap back on by turning it clockwise until it is securely tightened. Do not overtighten.

Note: It is recommended to use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance and to minimize the risk of battery leakage. If the flashlight is not used for extended periods, remove the batteries.
