4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your amplifier for the first time.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the amplifier from its packaging. Retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the amplifier on a sturdy, flat surface with ample space around it for ventilation. Avoid placing it near other heat-generating equipment.
  3. Speaker Connection: Connect your speakers to the appropriate speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). This amplifier supports 4Ω-8Ω load impedance.
  4. Audio Source Connection: Connect your audio sources (CD player, DAC, etc.) to the RCA input jacks on the rear panel. The input signal level should be ≤ 300mV.
  5. Power Connection: Ensure the amplifier's voltage setting matches your local power supply (110/120V or 220/230V). Connect the power cord to the amplifier's AC inlet and then to a grounded wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Once set up, operating your GOWE amplifier is straightforward.

  1. Power On: Ensure all connections are secure. Turn the volume knob to its minimum position. Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The tubes will begin to warm up, and you may notice a soft glow. Allow a few moments for the amplifier to stabilize before playing audio.
  2. Input Selection: Use the input selector knob on the front panel to choose the desired audio source.
  3. Volume Control: Slowly turn the volume knob clockwise to increase the sound level to your desired listening volume.
  4. Headphone Output: For private listening, plug your headphones into the dedicated headphone jack on the front panel. Note that connecting headphones may automatically mute the speaker outputs, depending on the amplifier's design.
  5. Power Off: Before powering off, turn the volume knob to its minimum position. Then, flip the power switch to the 'OFF' position.
