4. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps carefully to install your power supply.

4.1. Pre-Installation Check:

  1. Verify Input Voltage: Locate the red switch on the side of the unit. Ensure it is set to the correct voltage for your region (110V or 220V). Failure to do so will damage the unit.
  2. Power Off: Ensure all power sources are disconnected before making any connections.
  3. Mounting: Mount the power supply in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and moisture. The aluminum casing acts as a heatsink, so ensure adequate airflow.

4.2. Wiring Connections:

Refer to Figure 1 for terminal identification.

  • AC Input (L, N, ☉):
    • Connect your live AC wire to the 'L' terminal.
    • Connect your neutral AC wire to the 'N' terminal.
    • Connect the ground wire to the ground symbol (☉) terminal.
  • DC Output (-V, +V):
    • Connect the negative (-) wire of your LED strip or device to the '-V' terminals.
    • Connect the positive (+) wire of your LED strip or device to the '+V' terminals.
    • Multiple '-V' and '+V' terminals are provided for convenience when connecting multiple loads.

CAUTION: Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits and electrical hazards.

5. Operation

Once all connections are made and verified:

  1. Apply Power: Connect the AC input to your power source. The power supply should turn on, indicated by a small LED (if present).
  2. Voltage Adjustment (Optional): A small potentiometer (labeled 'ADJ' or similar) is typically present near the DC output terminals. This allows for minor adjustments to the output voltage (e.g., from 11.5V to 12.5V). Use a small screwdriver to turn it clockwise to increase voltage or counter-clockwise to decrease it. Do not adjust beyond the recommended range.
  3. Load Connection: Your connected devices (e.g., LED strip lights) should now receive power.

6. Maintenance

The LEDMO S-120-12 power supply is designed for long-term stability and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation holes are not obstructed. Good airflow is crucial for optimal performance and longevity.
  • Connection Check: Occasionally check all wiring connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
