Product Overview

Parent Unit

The parent unit features a 4.3-inch color screen for clear video monitoring. It includes controls for volume, zoom, two-way talk, and menu navigation.

Baby Unit (Camera)

The baby unit is designed in a charming bear shape and houses the camera, microphone, speaker, and temperature sensor. It features automatic infrared night vision for clear viewing in low light conditions.

Setup

1. Charging the Parent Unit

1. Connect the small end of the parent unit power adapter to the DC IN jack on the side of the parent unit.
2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet.
3. The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status. For optimal battery performance, charge the parent unit for at least 12 hours before initial use.

2. Positioning the Baby Unit

1. Place the baby unit in the baby's room, at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from the baby.
2. Ensure the baby unit is placed on a flat surface or securely mounted to a wall using the provided bracket.
3. Adjust the camera angle manually to get the best view of your baby.
4. Connect the baby unit power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the baby unit and plug it into a wall outlet.

3. Powering On

Once both units are connected to power, press and hold the POWER button on both the parent unit and baby unit to turn them on. The units will automatically link.

Operating Instructions

Monitoring Your Baby

Once powered on and linked, the parent unit will display live video from the baby unit. The screen will show the room temperature detected by the baby unit.

Digital Zoom

Press the ZOOM button on the parent unit to digitally zoom in or out on the video feed.

Two-Way Talk

To talk to your baby, press and hold the TALK button on the parent unit. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the button to hear your baby.

Lullabies

The baby unit has 5 pre-recorded lullabies. To play a lullaby, navigate to the Lullaby menu on the parent unit and select your desired tune. You can also stop playback from the parent unit.

Temperature Monitoring

The baby unit continuously monitors the room temperature. The temperature reading is displayed on the parent unit's screen. You can set temperature alerts in the menu if the room temperature goes above or below a set range.

ECO Mode

The VTech BM4200 features an ECO mode to conserve power. When ECO mode is activated, the parent unit's screen turns off and audio transmission stops when no sound is detected from the baby unit. The system will reactivate automatically when sound is detected. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the parent unit's menu.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid cleaners. Ensure the product is dry before reconnecting to power.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, fully charge the parent unit before first use. If you will not be using the product for an extended period, remove the battery from the parent unit.
