3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert the battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Charge the battery fully before first use using the provided charger.
3.2. SD Card Insertion
The Leica SL (Typ 601) features two SD card slots, supporting UHS-II and UHS-I standards.
- Locate the SD card slot cover on the side of the camera.

- Insert the SD card(s) into the designated slots with the label facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
