Front Panel Controls:

Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide or open the cover.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Always use fresh batteries and replace both batteries at the same time. Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
2. Connecting Earbuds/Headphones
- Insert the 3.5mm plug of the included earbuds or your preferred headphones into the headphone jack on the radio.
- The earbud/headphone cable acts as the FM antenna. For optimal FM reception, ensure the cable is fully extended and not coiled.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- To turn the radio ON, press and hold the BAND button for a few seconds. The LCD display will light up.
- To turn the radio OFF, press and hold the BAND button again until the display turns off.
2. Selecting a Band (FM/AM)
- With the radio powered on, press the BAND button briefly to switch between FM and AM bands. The selected band will be indicated on the LCD display.
3. Tuning to a Station
- Manual Tuning: Press the Tuning Up or Tuning Down buttons briefly to adjust the frequency step by step.
- Auto Scan Tuning: Press and hold the Tuning Up or Tuning Down buttons for a few seconds. The radio will automatically scan and stop at the next strong station.
4. Setting and Recalling Presets
The radio allows you to store up to 15 stations (10 FM, 5 AM) as presets.
- To Store a Preset:
- Tune to the desired station using manual or auto scan tuning.
- Press and hold one of the Preset Buttons (M1-M5) until the preset number flashes on the display, indicating the station is saved.
- To Recall a Preset:
- Briefly press the desired Preset Button (M1-M5) to instantly tune to the stored station.
5. Adjusting Volume
- Use the Volume Control (typically a rotary dial on the side) to increase or decrease the audio output level.
6. Using the Hold Function
- Slide the HOLD switch to the "ON" position to lock all buttons. This prevents accidental changes to settings while carrying the radio.
- Slide the HOLD switch back to the "OFF" position to enable button functionality.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Care: Replace batteries when the battery indicator shows low power. Remove batteries if the unit is not used for extended periods to prevent corrosion.
