Pure Garden 32-Inch Round Star Wood Burning Fire Pit

1. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions and warnings before assembling, operating, or servicing this fire pit. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, bodily injury, or death.

• Outdoor Use Only: This fire pit is designed for outdoor use in a well-ventilated area. Do not use indoors or under any overhead cover.
• Clearance: Maintain a minimum distance of 10 feet (3 meters) from combustible materials such as buildings, fences, trees, and dry vegetation.
• Stable Surface: Always place the fire pit on a hard, level, non-combustible surface. Do not use on wooden decks, carpets, or other flammable surfaces.
• Adult Supervision: Never leave a burning fire pit unattended. Keep children and pets away from the fire pit at all times.
• Proper Fuel: Use only dry, seasoned natural wood. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, alcohol, or any other accelerants. Do not burn trash, leaves, paper, cardboard, or any other materials that could produce sparks or toxic fumes.
• Spark Screen: Always use the provided spark screen to contain sparks and embers.
• Extinguishing Fire: Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the fire pit unattended or covering it. Do not use water to extinguish the fire as it can damage the fire pit and create steam hazards.
• Handling Hot Components: Use heat-resistant gloves and the provided poker when handling hot components or adjusting logs.

2. Setup and Assembly

Some assembly is required for this fire pit. Please follow these general steps for proper setup.

2.1 Unpacking and Parts Identification

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches. Verify that all parts are present:

• Fire Bowl
• Legs (typically 3 or 4)
• Outer Ring / Handles
• Spark Screen
• Log Grate
• Fire Poker
• PVC Weather Cover
• Hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, wrench)

2.2 Assembly Steps

1. Attach the legs to the fire bowl using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are finger-tight at this stage.
2. Connect the outer ring (if separate) to the fire bowl or legs. Tip: If the outer ring is difficult to align, keep all fastening hardware slightly loose until all parts are connected, then tighten securely.
3. Once all components are aligned, securely tighten all bolts with the provided wrench. Do not overtighten.
4. Place the log grate inside the fire bowl.
5. Position the fire pit in your desired outdoor location, ensuring it is on a level, non-combustible surface and away from flammable materials.

3. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective use of your fire pit.

1. Prepare the Fire Pit: Ensure the fire pit is clean and free of debris. Place the log grate at the bottom of the fire bowl.
2. Add Fuel: Arrange dry, seasoned wood on the log grate. Start with smaller kindling and gradually add larger pieces. Do not overload the fire pit; keep the fire contained within the bowl and below the rim.
3. Ignite the Fire: Use a long lighter or match to ignite the kindling. Never use flammable liquids to start or rekindle a fire.
4. Use Spark Screen: Once the fire is lit, carefully place the spark screen over the fire bowl to prevent embers and sparks from escaping.
5. Manage the Fire: Use the provided fire poker to adjust logs and manage the flame. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when handling the poker or any part of the fire pit during operation.
6. Extinguish the Fire: Allow the fire to burn down naturally. If you need to extinguish it sooner, carefully spread the embers and allow them to cool. Do not use water. Ensure all embers are completely cold before leaving the fire pit unattended or covering it.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life of your fire pit.

• Cleaning: After the fire pit has completely cooled, remove any ashes. The exterior can be wiped clean with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or steel wool, as these can damage the powder-coated finish.
• Ash Removal: Ensure all ashes are cold before disposing of them in a metal container.
• Storage: When not in use, especially during inclement weather or off-season, cover the fire pit with the provided PVC weather cover. Store the fire pit in a dry location to prevent rust and extend its lifespan.
• Rust Prevention: While the fire pit is made from powder-coated steel to resist rust, prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to corrosion. Always use the PVC cover when not in use. Consider adding a small drainage hole to the bottom of the fire bowl if water tends to collect, though this may void some warranties.
