Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your offset cantilever patio umbrella:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface to ensure all pieces are present and undamaged.
- Assemble Cross Base: Connect the two cross base sections together using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
- Attach Main Pole: Insert the main pole assembly into the center of the assembled cross base. Secure it with the appropriate bolts and washers from the hardware pack.
- Secure Umbrella Canopy: Carefully lift the umbrella canopy assembly and attach it to the main pole. Ensure the locking pin or mechanism is engaged to hold the canopy securely in place.
- Add Base Weights: Place heavy base weights or sandbags (not included) onto the cross base to provide stability. This is crucial for safe operation.

Operating Instructions
To operate your cantilever patio umbrella:
- Opening the Umbrella: Locate the crank handle on the main pole. Turn the crank handle clockwise to extend the canopy until it is fully open. Do not force the crank if resistance is met.
- Closing the Umbrella: Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to retract the canopy until it is fully closed. Once closed, secure the canopy with the built-in strap around the pole to prevent it from unfurling in the wind.
- Tilting the Umbrella: Use the handle located on the main pole to adjust the vertical tilt of the canopy. This allows you to position the shade as needed throughout the day. The umbrella typically offers 5 tilt positions.

Maintenance
