Setup

1. Unpack the Steamer: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

2. Fill the Water Tank: Ensure the steamer is unplugged. Remove the water tank by pressing the release buttons on the sides and pulling it out. Open the silicone cap and fill the tank with distilled or demineralized water up to the "MAX" line using the provided filling cup. Close the cap securely and reinsert the tank into the main unit until it clicks into place.

3. Attach Desired Accessory (Optional): If needed, attach the fabric brush or lint brush to the steamer head by aligning it and pressing firmly until it clicks into position.

4. Connect to Power: Plug the steamer's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the steamer is heating up.

Operating Instructions

1. Pre-heating: After plugging in, the steamer will heat up rapidly. The indicator light will change (e.g., stop blinking or turn solid) when it is ready for use, typically within seconds.

2. Steaming Garments: Hold the garment taut with one hand. With the other hand, hold the steamer vertically and press the steam trigger to release steam. Move the steamer head slowly over the fabric, from top to bottom, allowing the steam to penetrate and relax the fibers. For stubborn wrinkles, pass over the area multiple times.

3. Using Attachments:

   • Fabric Brush: Use on heavier fabrics like coats, suits, or upholstery. The bristles help to lift fibers for more effective steaming and can also remove light lint.
   • Lint Brush: Glide this attachment over garments to remove lint, dust, and pet hair while steaming.

4. Finishing: Once steaming is complete, release the steam trigger and unplug the appliance. Allow garments to cool and dry completely before wearing or storing.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Solac PC1500 Niagara steamer.

1. Emptying the Water Tank: After each use, or when the steamer is not in use for an extended period, unplug the steamer and allow it to cool. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water. This prevents stagnant water and potential mineral buildup.

2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

3. Descaling (Anti-Calc System): The Solac PC1500 Niagara features an anti-calc system to reduce mineral buildup. However, periodic descaling is still recommended, especially in areas with hard water. Refer to the full product manual for specific descaling instructions, which typically involve using a descaling solution or a vinegar-water mixture.
