- Power On Devices: Ensure both your HDMI source device and VGA display are powered on.
Important Note:
- This converter is NOT BI-DIRECTIONAL. It only converts signals from HDMI (Female) to VGA (Male). It cannot convert VGA to HDMI.
- No external power is typically required for this adapter.
5. Operating Instructions
The Tendak HDMI to VGA converter is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Once all connections are made as described in the setup section, your HDMI source device should automatically detect the connected VGA display and output the video and audio (if connected) accordingly.
- Automatic Detection: Most modern operating systems and devices will automatically detect the connected display and adjust the resolution.
- Resolution Adjustment: If the display appears distorted or shows a 'No Signal' message, you may need to manually adjust the resolution of your input source (e.g., laptop, PC) to a setting supported by your VGA monitor or projector, typically 1080p or 720p.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while using your Tendak HDMI to VGA converter, please refer to the following common solutions:
- No Signal / Out of Range: If your monitor displays 'No Signal' or 'Out of Range', ensure that the resolution of your HDMI input source is set to 1080p or lower. Some older VGA monitors may not support higher resolutions. Adjust the display settings on your source device.
- No Audio: Verify that the 3.5mm audio cable is securely connected to both the converter's audio output and your speakers/audio system. Also, check the volume levels on your source device and speakers.
- Flickering or Distorted Image: Ensure all cables (HDMI and VGA) are firmly connected. Try using a different HDMI cable if possible. Check the resolution settings as mentioned above.
- Converter Not Working: Confirm that the converter is correctly plugged into both the HDMI source and VGA display. If the issue persists, try connecting the converter to a different HDMI source or VGA display to isolate the problem.
- Unidirectional Limitation: Remember that this adapter only converts HDMI to VGA. It will not work if you are trying to convert a VGA signal to HDMI.
If these steps do not resolve your issue, please contact Tendak customer support for further assistance.
