Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective film. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your supplier.
2. Placement
- Place the refrigerator on a strong, level surface capable of supporting the unit's weight when fully loaded.
- Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit. Maintain a minimum of 6 inches (15 cm) clearance from walls and other equipment for proper ventilation of the condenser.
- Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat-generating appliances (e.g., ovens, fryers) to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
3. Electrical Connection
Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated 115V/60Hz/1-ph electrical outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. Ensure the electrical supply matches the requirements specified on the unit's data plate. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of your Centaur refrigerator.
1. Daily Cleaning
- Interior: Wipe down interior surfaces, including shelves and door liners, with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Exterior: Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Wipe in the direction of the grain.
- Door Gaskets: Inspect door gaskets for tears or damage. Clean them regularly to ensure a tight seal. Replace damaged gaskets promptly.
2. Condenser Coil Cleaning (Monthly/Quarterly)
The EZ Slide Out Condenser design simplifies cleaning. A dirty condenser coil can significantly reduce cooling efficiency and increase energy consumption.
- Disconnect the unit from the power supply.
- Locate the EZ Slide Out Condenser at the bottom of the unit. Carefully slide it out.
- Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust, dirt, and debris from the condenser fins. Be careful not to bend the fins.
- Once clean, carefully slide the condenser back into its position.
- Reconnect power.
Frequency of cleaning depends on the operating environment. In dusty or greasy environments, more frequent cleaning may be required.
3. Automatic Defrost
This unit features an automatic defrost system. Ice buildup on the evaporator coil will be periodically melted and drained. Ensure the drain pan and drain line are clear of obstructions.
