2. Placement

3. Electrical Connection

Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated 115V/60Hz/1-ph electrical outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. Ensure the electrical supply matches the requirements specified on the unit's data plate. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of your Centaur refrigerator.

1. Daily Cleaning

2. Condenser Coil Cleaning (Monthly/Quarterly)

The EZ Slide Out Condenser design simplifies cleaning. A dirty condenser coil can significantly reduce cooling efficiency and increase energy consumption.

  1. Disconnect the unit from the power supply.
  2. Locate the EZ Slide Out Condenser at the bottom of the unit. Carefully slide it out.
  3. Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust, dirt, and debris from the condenser fins. Be careful not to bend the fins.
  4. Once clean, carefully slide the condenser back into its position.
  5. Reconnect power.

Frequency of cleaning depends on the operating environment. In dusty or greasy environments, more frequent cleaning may be required.

3. Automatic Defrost

This unit features an automatic defrost system. Ice buildup on the evaporator coil will be periodically melted and drained. Ensure the drain pan and drain line are clear of obstructions.
