Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to install your pendant light:

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the fixture will be installed.
2. Prepare Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the junction box using the screws provided. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Assemble Rods: Determine the desired hanging height for your pendant light. Connect the appropriate combination of 12-inch and 6-inch rods to the fixture body and the canopy. Thread the electrical wires through the rods as you assemble them.
4. Wire Connections: Carefully connect the electrical wires:
   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
   • Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket).
   Secure all connections with wire nuts and wrap with electrical tape for added safety.
5. Mount Canopy: Carefully push the wires into the junction box and secure the fixture canopy to the mounting bracket using the provided screws.
6. Install Glass Shade: Gently attach the flat opal glass shade to the fixture according to the design. Ensure it is seated properly and secured.
7. Install Bulb: Insert one 100W Type A bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
8. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Test the light fixture.

Operating Instructions

The Canarm River Single Pendant Light operates via a standard wall switch connected to the electrical circuit. Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light on or off.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or glass.
• Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. Allow the old bulb to cool completely. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new 100W Type A bulb. Do not exceed the maximum wattage.

Troubleshooting

If your pendant light is not functioning correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check if the power is on at the circuit breaker.
  • Ensure the bulb is securely screwed into the socket and is not burnt out.
