3. Setup Instructions

1. Mounting on 15mm Rods: Loosen the blue knob on the 15mm quick-release rod clamp. Slide the follow focus unit onto your camera's 15mm support rods. Position it appropriately in front of your lens and tighten the knob to secure it.
2. Attaching Drive Gear: Select the appropriate drive gear (M0.8-38T, M0.8-43T, or M0.8-65T) for your lens. The drive gear can be mounted on either side of the follow focus unit. Ensure the gear teeth mesh correctly with your lens's focus ring or a flexible gear belt.
3. Adjusting Gear Position: Adjust the position of the follow focus unit along the 15mm rods until the drive gear is perfectly aligned and engaged with the lens's focus ring. Ensure there is no excessive play or binding.
4. Setting A/B Hard Stops (Optional): To set focus limits, press and hold the small blue buttons on the A/B stop mechanism. Rotate the handwheel to your desired 'A' focus point and release one button. Rotate to your desired 'B' focus point and release the other button. The handwheel will now stop at these two points. To disengage, press both buttons simultaneously and rotate the handwheel past the stops. The stoppers can be removed and stored in the designated slots on the unit when not in use.

1. Manual Focusing: Rotate the rubber-covered handwheel clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the lens's focus. The precision gearbox ensures smooth and accurate focus pulls.
2. Utilizing A/B Stops: If A/B hard stops are set, the handwheel will physically stop at the pre-defined focus points, allowing for consistent and repeatable focus transitions.
3. Adjusting Damping: The gearbox features 2 levels of adjustable damping. Use the small screw on the side of the gearbox to fine-tune the tension and feel of the handwheel rotation to your preference.
4. Using Speed Crank/Whip (Optional): For faster or more remote focus adjustments, attach a compatible speed crank or whip to the 12x12mm connection port on the follow focus unit.

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the follow focus unit with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Gear Inspection: Periodically inspect the drive gear and your lens's focus ring for any signs of wear or damage. Replace gears if necessary to maintain optimal performance.
