The CLAGE CEX9 is an electronically controlled instant water heater designed for efficient and continuous hot water supply. • Temperature Limits: Do not exceed the maximum permissible inlet water temperature of 70°C, particularly when connected to solar heating systems.

4. Operating Instructions

The CLAGE CEX9 features an intuitive electronic control panel for easy operation.

4.1. Power On/Off

The unit powers on automatically when water flow is detected and powers off when water flow stops. Ensure the main electrical supply to the unit is switched on at the circuit breaker.

4.2. Temperature Setting

Use the Up (⌃) and Down (⌄) arrow buttons on the control panel to adjust the desired hot water temperature. The current temperature setting will be displayed on the digital screen (e.g., 45.5°C).

4.3. Power Mode Selection (6.6 kW / 8.8 kW)

The unit can operate at two power levels: 6.6 kW and 8.8 kW. The higher power setting (8.8 kW) provides a greater flow rate of hot water, suitable for showers or multiple outlets, but requires a robust electrical installation (40A circuit breaker, 6mm² wiring).

• Press button 1 to select the 6.6 kW power mode. This mode is generally sufficient for single-point-of-use applications like a sink.
• Press button 2 to select the 8.8 kW power mode. This mode is recommended for higher demand applications such as showers or baths.

4.4. ECO Mode

The "ECO" indicator on the display signifies that the unit is operating in an energy-efficient mode, optimizing power consumption based on the set temperature and water flow.
