Its quiet operation and portable design make it suitable for various uses, including airbrushing, cosmetic studios, nail art, tattoo applications, and general hobby work. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of your compressor.

2. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the compressor. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the compressor is connected to a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage (220-240 V / 50 Hz). Do not operate the compressor with a damaged power cord or plug. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
  • Pressure Safety: Never exceed the maximum operating pressure of 6 bars (87 PSI). Do not tamper with the safety/purge valve. Always release air pressure from the tank before performing maintenance or disconnecting accessories.
  • Ventilation: Operate the compressor in a well-ventilated area. Ensure adequate airflow around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not cover the compressor during operation.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection when airbrushing.
  • Children and Bystanders: Keep children and bystanders away from the operating compressor and airbrushing area.
  • Intended Use: Use the compressor only for its intended purpose as an air source for airbrushing and similar applications. Do not use it for breathing air supply.
  • Maintenance: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Overheat Protection: The compressor is equipped with automatic overheat protection. If the unit shuts down due to overheating, allow it to cool down completely before restarting.

  • Air Tank: 3.5-liter capacity, ensures consistent air pressure and reduces compressor cycling.
  • Pressure Regulator: Allows adjustment of output air pressure.
  • Filter: Integrated into the pressure regulator to remove moisture and particles from the air.
  • Manometer: Displays the current output air pressure.
  • Safety/Purge Valve: Located on the air tank for safety and draining condensation.
  • Power Switch: Controls the compressor's power.
  • Air Outlet: G 1/8" connection for air hose.

5. Setup

  1. Placement: Place the compressor on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow.
  2. Attach Pressure Regulator: Screw the pressure regulator assembly onto the air outlet port of the compressor. Hand-tighten firmly.
  3. Connect Air Hose: Connect your airbrush hose (not included, typically 1/8" fitting) to the output of the pressure regulator. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leaks.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cable into the compressor's power inlet, then into a suitable grounded 220-240V / 50Hz electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Flip the power switch to the "ON" position. The compressor will start to fill the air tank. The manometer will show the increasing pressure.
  2. Automatic Operation: The compressor features automatic start/stop functionality. It will automatically stop when the tank pressure reaches approximately 4 BAR (57 PSI) and restart when the pressure drops to approximately 3 BAR (43 PSI).
  3. Adjusting Output Pressure:
    • Turn the knob on the pressure regulator to adjust the desired working pressure for your airbrush.
    • The manometer will display the regulated output pressure.
    • Once the desired pressure is set, you can lock the knob (if applicable) to prevent accidental changes.
  4. Continuous Mode (Optional): This compressor may offer a second mode where it operates continuously and stops at a higher pressure (e.g., 6 BAR). Consult your specific unit's markings or included manual for details on activating this mode, if available. This mode is generally for applications requiring higher, sustained pressure, not typical airbrushing.
  5. Power Off: After use, turn off the power switch. Disconnect the airbrush and release any remaining pressure from the air tank by briefly opening the safety/purge valve or by using the airbrush until the pressure gauge reads zero.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor. Always disconnect the power before performing maintenance.

  • Drain Condensation: The air tank accumulates condensation. Regularly drain the water from the air tank using the safety/purge valve at the bottom of the tank. This prevents rust and ensures clean, dry air.
  • Clean Air Filter: The pressure regulator includes an air filter. Periodically check and clean this filter to ensure proper airflow and prevent contaminants from reaching your airbrush. If the compressor has internal cylinder filters, these should also be checked and cleaned as per the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., by unscrewing and cleaning the metallic mesh filters).
  • General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the compressor clean and free of dust. Ensure ventilation openings are unobstructed.
  • Oil-Free Design: This compressor is oil-free and does not require lubrication. Do not attempt to add oil to any part of the compressor.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Compressor does not start. No power supply; Power switch off; Overheat protection activated. Check power cable and outlet; Turn power switch ON; Allow compressor to cool down for 15-30 minutes.
Low or inconsistent air pressure. Air leak in connections; Clogged air filter; Pressure regulator set too low. Check all hose connections for leaks; Clean or replace air filter; Adjust pressure regulator to desired setting.
Compressor runs continuously or cycles too frequently. Air leak in tank or connections; Faulty pressure switch. Check for air leaks; If problem persists, contact customer support.
Compressor gets excessively hot. Poor ventilation; Prolonged continuous operation. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit; Allow for cooling breaks during extended use. The unit has overheat protection.
Excessive noise. Loose components; Operating on an uneven surface. Check for and tighten any loose parts; Place on a stable, level surface. Note that a certain level of operating noise (approx. 47 dB) is normal.
