Setup

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the storage box. Inspect for any damage.
2. Select Nozzle and Needle: Choose the appropriate nozzle and needle size (0.3mm, 0.5mm, or 0.8mm) for your painting task. The 0.3mm is for fine details, 0.5mm for general work, and 0.8mm for broader coverage. Ensure the needle matches the nozzle size.
3. Assemble Nozzle and Needle:
   • Unscrew the needle chucking guide and pull out the needle.
   • Unscrew the nozzle cap and remove the nozzle.
   • Carefully insert the chosen nozzle and screw the nozzle cap back on. Do not overtighten.
   • Reinsert the chosen needle from the rear of the airbrush, pushing it gently until it seats correctly in the nozzle.
   • Tighten the needle chucking guide.
4. Attach Paint Cup: Screw the desired paint cup (2ml, 5ml, or 13ml) onto the top of the airbrush gun.
5. Connect Air Hose: Attach one end of the 2-meter air hose to the airbrush gun's air inlet and the other end to your air compressor (not included). Ensure connections are secure to prevent air leaks.
6. Prepare Work Area: Set up your workspace in a well-ventilated area. Cover surfaces to protect them from overspray.

Operating Instructions

1. Prepare Paint: Thin your paint to the consistency recommended by the paint manufacturer for airbrushing. Test the consistency on a scrap surface.
2. Fill Paint Cup: Carefully pour the prepared paint into the attached paint cup. Do not overfill.
3. Connect Power: If your compressor is battery-powered, ensure it is charged. Connect the compressor to a power source if it requires mains electricity.
4. Turn On Compressor: Activate your air compressor and set the desired air pressure. Start with a lower pressure and adjust as needed.
5. Test Spray: Before applying paint to your project, test the spray pattern on a scrap piece of material.
6. Airbrush Technique:
   • Hold the airbrush approximately 5-15 cm (2-6 inches) from the surface, depending on the desired spray pattern and detail.
   • Press down on the trigger for air flow.
   • Pull back on the trigger to release paint. The further you pull back, the more paint is released.
   • Maintain a consistent distance and movement for even coverage.
   • Always start and end your spray off the work surface to avoid paint build-up.
7. Adjusting Flow: Use the needle stop screw at the rear of the airbrush to limit how far the needle can retract, controlling the maximum paint flow.
8. Finishing: When finished painting, release the trigger completely. Turn off your air compressor.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning after each use is essential for the longevity and performance of your airbrush gun.

1. Initial Rinse: Empty any remaining paint from the cup. Add a small amount of appropriate cleaner (water for acrylics, solvent for enamels/lacquers) to the cup. Spray the cleaner through the airbrush until it runs clear.
2. Back-Flush: Place your finger over the nozzle cap and press down for air, then pull back for paint. This will force air back into the paint cup, bubbling the cleaner and helping to dislodge paint particles. Repeat several times.
3. Disassemble for Deep Clean: For a thorough clean, disassemble the airbrush:
   • Remove the paint cup.
   • Unscrew the needle chucking guide and carefully pull out the needle from the rear. Clean the needle with a cloth dampened with cleaner.
   • Unscrew the nozzle cap and remove the nozzle. Clean the nozzle carefully with a soft brush and cleaner.
   • Clean the airbrush body and paint channel with a brush and cleaner.
4. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the airbrush. Apply a tiny amount of airbrush lubricant (if available) to the needle and trigger mechanism.
5. Storage: Store the airbrush in its original storage box to protect it from dust and damage.
