The watch features an adjustable nylon strap. To adjust, simply thread the strap through the buckle and secure it using the appropriate hole for a comfortable fit on your wrist. The strap is designed to fit wrist circumferences up to 8 inches.

Operating Your Watch

Indiglo Night-Light

To activate the Indiglo night-light, simply press and hold the crown (the button on the side of the watch). The entire dial will illuminate, allowing for easy time reading in low-light or dark conditions. Release the crown to turn off the light.

Water Resistance

Your Timex Expedition Scout watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This means it is generally suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. However, it is not recommended for diving or snorkeling. Avoid pressing the crown or operating the watch functions while it is submerged in water to prevent water ingress.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump erratically, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Cleaning Your Watch

To clean the watch case and crystal, use a soft, damp cloth. For the nylon strap, you can gently hand wash it with mild soap and water, then allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish.

Strap Care

The nylon strap is durable but can show wear over time. Regularly inspect the strap for any signs of fraying or damage. If the strap becomes significantly worn or damaged, it is recommended to replace it to ensure the watch remains securely on your wrist.
