Setup and Programming
Unboxing and Initial Setup

- Locate the small slot on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the metal visor clip into this slot until it clicks securely into place.
Programming Your Remote Control
To program your LiftMaster 811LM remote control to your commercial gate operator, follow these steps:
- Locate the 'Learn' button on your gate operator's control panel or the yellow button directly on the gate opener unit itself.
- Press and release the 'Learn' button once on the gate opener unit. If using a wall-mounted control panel with a 'Learn' button, press it twice. The indicator light on the control panel or opener will illuminate, signaling it is in programming mode.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on your LiftMaster 811LM remote control.
- Continue holding the remote button until you hear a click from the gate operator unit or see its light flash. This indicates successful programming.
- Release the button on the remote control.
Test the remote by pressing the button. The gate should respond.
Setting DIP Switches (if applicable)
If your commercial gate system requires specific DIP switch settings, you can access them by opening the remote control. To do this, gently press on the front cover of the remote to reveal the internal components, including the battery and a row of small switches (DIP switches). Adjust these switches to match the code of your gate operator as per your gate system's instructions. Ensure the cover is securely reattached after making any adjustments.
Operation
