2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the sensor.

2.2 Channel Selection
The sensor supports three channels (1, 2, 3) to allow multiple sensors to be used with a single compatible base unit. Before placing the sensor, select a channel using the switch inside the battery compartment. Ensure the selected channel matches the channel set on your Taylor weather forecaster base unit for proper communication.
2.3 Placement and Mounting
For optimal performance, place the sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area outdoors, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This will ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. The sensor can stand upright on a flat surface using its integrated stand or be mounted to a wall or post using the keyhole slot on the back.

3. Operation
Once batteries are installed and a channel is selected, the sensor will automatically begin transmitting temperature and humidity data. The LCD display on the sensor will show the current outdoor temperature and humidity. The sensor will attempt to connect with your compatible Taylor weather forecaster base unit.
3.1 Temperature Unit Selection
To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) temperature units, locate the C/F switch inside the battery compartment. Toggle this switch to your desired unit. The change will be reflected on the sensor's LCD display and transmitted to the base unit.
3.2 Data Transmission
The sensor transmits data periodically. A transmission indicator (often a small antenna icon) on the sensor's display will flash when data is being sent. Ensure the sensor is within the 200-foot range of your base unit and that there are no major obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) that could interfere with the wireless signal.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the sensor, simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic casing or the LCD display. Ensure the sensor is dry before re-exposing it to outdoor elements.
4.2 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the sensor's display (or your base unit) shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous and accurate readings. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1.
4.3 Storage
If the sensor will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the unit. Store the sensor in a cool, dry place.
