3. Safety Instructions

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking

4.3 Power Connection
- Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Connect the provided power cord to the AC IN jack on the rear panel of the amplifier.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable AC outlet.
4.4 Initial Power-On
After connecting the power, connect your guitar to the INPUT jack. Turn the MASTER volume knob to its minimum setting. Flip the POWER switch to the ON position. The amplifier will power on, and the display will illuminate.
5. Operating Instructions: Controls and Functions

5.1 Front Panel Controls
- INPUT: 1/4" jack for connecting your guitar.
- CLEAN VOLUME: Adjusts the volume of the clean channel.
- DRIVE Section:
- AMP Selector: Rotary switch to select between different amplifier models (Clean, Blues, Crunch, Metal, Solo, etc.).
- GAIN: Controls the amount of overdrive or distortion for the selected amp model.
- LEVEL: Adjusts the output level of the drive channel.
- EQ Section:
- BASS: Adjusts the low-frequency response.
- MIDDLE: Adjusts the mid-frequency response.
- TREBLE: Adjusts the high-frequency response.

5.2 Buttons and Display
- BANK: Cycles through preset banks.
- SAVE: Saves current settings as a preset. Press and hold to initiate save.
- SOLO: Activates or deactivates the solo volume boost.
- TUNER: Activates the built-in chromatic tuner. Press again to exit tuner mode.
- Display: Shows current preset number, tuner information, and other operational data.
6. Connecting Devices
- Guitar Input: Connect your electric guitar to the 1/4" INPUT jack on the front panel.
- CD/MP3 IN: Use a 3.5mm stereo cable to connect an external audio player (e.g., CD player, MP3 player, smartphone) to the CD/MP3 IN jack for playing along with backing tracks.
- Headphones/Mixer Out: Connect headphones for silent practice or connect to a mixing console/audio interface for direct recording using a 1/4" stereo cable.
- Footswitch (Optional MP-1): Connect the optional NUX MP-1 footswitch to the dedicated footswitch jack for hands-free control over presets, solo boost, effects, and tap tempo.
- USB: Connect a USB cable from the amplifier to your computer for firmware updates and using the NUX Mighty Editor software for advanced tone editing.
7. Presets and Effects
7.1 Selecting Presets
The Mighty 30SE allows you to store and recall 16 presets. Use the BANK button to cycle through preset banks (A, B, C, D). Within each bank, use the A, B, C, D buttons (or footswitch) to select individual presets.
7.2 Saving Presets
- Adjust the amplifier settings (amp model, gain, EQ, effects, etc.) to your desired tone.
- Press and hold the SAVE button until the display flashes.
- Use the BANK button and A/B/C/D buttons to select the desired preset location to save your tone.
- Press the SAVE button again to confirm and store the preset.
7.3 Using Effects
Rotate the EFX knob to select and adjust modulation effects. Rotate the DELAY/REV knob to select and adjust delay and reverb effects. The intensity or type of effect will change as you turn the knob.
8. USB Connectivity
The USB port on the NUX Mighty 30SE serves two primary functions:
- Firmware Updates: Connect the amplifier to a computer to update its internal software (firmware). Visit the official NUX website for the latest firmware and instructions.
- Tone Editing Software: Use the NUX Mighty Editor software (available for download from the NUX website) to access advanced parameters, customize amp models, effects, and manage presets from your computer.
9. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power cord before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the amplifier. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasives, or solvents.

- Transportation: When transporting the amplifier, ensure it is securely packed to prevent damage from impacts.
