Introduction
Welcome to the world of NERF N-Strike Mega action! This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your new NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon Blaster. The Mastodon is the first-ever motorized NERF Mega blaster, designed for rapid-fire dart launching. Please read all instructions carefully before use.

Important Safety Information
- WARNING: Do not aim at eyes or face. Use only official NERF darts. Other darts may not meet safety standards. Do not modify darts or blaster.
- CAUTION: Always use under adult supervision.
- BATTERY SAFETY: Requires 6 D batteries (not included). Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove batteries if the product is not used for an extended period.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the side of the blaster.
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 6 D batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
2. Attaching the Shoulder Strap
- Locate the attachment points for the shoulder strap on the blaster. There is one near the front barrel and one near the rear handle.
- Attach each end of the shoulder strap to the designated points. Ensure the clips are securely fastened.

Loading Darts
The NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon Blaster features a 24-dart rotating drum. To load the darts:
- Insert one Mega Whistler Dart into each of the 24 openings in the rotating drum.
- Ensure each dart is fully seated in its slot to prevent jamming.

Operating Instructions
To operate your motorized NERF N-Strike Mega Mastodon Blaster:
- Hold the blaster firmly using the main handle and the front grip. The shoulder strap can assist in supporting the blaster's weight.
- Press and hold the acceleration button (usually located below the main trigger) to power up the motor. You will hear the motor whirring.
- While holding the acceleration button, pull the trigger to launch Mega Whistler darts. The drum will automatically rotate, firing darts in rapid succession.

Maintenance
Jam Clearing
In the event of a dart jam:
- Release the acceleration button and trigger.
- Locate the jam clearing door on the side of the blaster.
- Open the door and carefully remove any jammed darts.
- Close the jam clearing door securely before resuming play.
Troubleshooting
Blaster Not Firing
- Check Batteries: Ensure 6 D batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Acceleration Button: Confirm the acceleration button is held down completely before pulling the trigger.
- Dart Jam: Check the jam clearing door for any lodged darts.
- Darts Loaded Correctly: Ensure darts are fully seated in the drum.
