4. Setup and Installation
This faucet is designed for countertop mounting with a single hole. The installation process is straightforward.
- Prepare the Mounting Hole: Ensure your sink or countertop has a single mounting hole with a diameter between 35-50 mm.
- Insert the Faucet: Place the faucet into the mounting hole. Ensure the base gasket is correctly positioned to prevent water leakage.
- Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, attach the central connection and tighten the large plastic nut by hand. This design simplifies tightening in confined spaces.
- Connect Water Hoses: Attach the two flexible connection hoses (350 mm) to the hot and cold water inlets on the faucet and to your water supply lines. Use a spanner to ensure secure, leak-free connections.
- Check for Leaks: Once installed, slowly turn on the main water supply and check all connections for any leaks.

5. Operating Instructions
The SCHÜTTE 24550 WINDOW faucet offers convenient features for daily kitchen use.
5.1 Water Flow and Temperature Control
The single-lever handle controls both water flow and temperature. Move the lever up to increase flow and down to decrease it. Move the lever left for hot water and right for cold water. This faucet features a cold start function, meaning when the lever is in the central position, only cold water flows, saving energy.

5.2 Swivel and Foldable Spout
The faucet's spout can swivel 360 degrees, providing flexibility for various sink tasks. Additionally, it features a foldable design, allowing the faucet to be easily lowered into the sink. This is particularly useful for sinks located in front of a window, enabling the window to be opened fully without obstruction.

6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your faucet.
- Cleaning the Surface: Clean the chrome surface regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for chrome. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring agents, or cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, or phosphoric acid, as these can damage the chrome finish.
- Aerator Maintenance: Periodically unscrew and clean the aerator at the end of the spout to remove any mineral deposits or debris that may affect water flow.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your faucet, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Clogged aerator; partially closed shut-off valve; kinked supply hose. | Clean or replace aerator; ensure shut-off valves are fully open; check supply hoses for kinks. |
| Leaking from Spout | Worn cartridge; mineral deposits. | Replace the ceramic cartridge; clean internal components. |
| Leaking from Base | Loose mounting nut; damaged base gasket. | Tighten mounting nut from underneath the sink; replace base gasket. |
| Difficulty Swiveling/Folding Spout | Accumulation of debris or mineral deposits. | Clean the swivel mechanism; apply a silicone-based lubricant if necessary. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
