Introduction

Thank you for choosing InnoGear 24 LED Solar Gutter Lights. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your solar lights. Please read these instructions carefully before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the product.

Safety Precautions

  • Ensure the solar panel receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily for optimal charging.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the product. Unauthorized modifications may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
  • Keep the product away from fire or high temperatures.
  • Avoid placing the light in areas prone to heavy shade, as this will reduce charging efficiency.
  • Handle with care during installation to prevent damage to the solar panel or LED array.

  1. Solar Panel: Located on the top surface, converts sunlight into electricity.
  2. 24 LED Lights: Provide ultra-bright illumination.
  3. PIR Motion Sensor: Detects movement to activate bright light mode.
  4. On/Off Switch: Controls the power to the unit.
  5. Mounting Keyholes: Slots on the back for secure wall mounting.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Initial Charge: Before first use, place the solar lights in direct sunlight for 1-2 days to allow the internal battery to fully charge. Ensure the On/Off switch is in the 'On' position during this initial charge.
  2. Select Location: Choose a location that receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that may block sunlight. The light should be mounted at a height that allows the motion sensor to effectively detect movement (typically 6-10 feet from the ground).
  3. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the light against the desired mounting surface and mark the positions for the two keyhole slots. Ensure the marks are level and accurately spaced.
  4. Drill Holes: Drill two holes at the marked positions. Insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes if mounting on masonry or drywall.
  5. Install Screws: Insert the screws into the wall plugs (or directly into wood) leaving a small gap (approximately 0.1-0.2 inches) between the screw head and the mounting surface. This gap is necessary for the keyhole slots to slide onto the screws.
  6. Mount the Light: Align the keyhole slots on the back of the solar light with the installed screws. Slide the light downwards to secure it in place. Ensure the light is firmly attached to the wall.

Operating Instructions

Your InnoGear solar light operates automatically once activated:

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the On/Off switch on the front of the light. Press the switch once to turn the light 'On'. The LED array will blink 3 times to confirm it is on. Press the switch again to turn the light 'Off'; the LED array will blink 2 times. Ensure the light is 'On' for automatic operation.
  2. Automatic Operation: During the day, the solar panel charges the internal battery. At dusk, the light will automatically enter a dim light mode.
  3. Motion Sensor Activation: When motion is detected within a range of 10-20 feet and a 90-degree angle, the light will automatically switch to a bright illumination mode.
  4. Return to Dim Mode: After approximately 10-15 seconds of no detected motion, the light will revert to its dim light mode to conserve power.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your solar lights, follow these maintenance tips:

  • Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Inspect for Damage: Periodically check the light for any physical damage, loose screws, or signs of wear.
  • Battery Care: The integrated Lithium-Ion battery is designed for long-term use. If the light's performance significantly decreases over time, ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight.

Troubleshooting

If your solar light is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on at night.1. Switch is OFF.
2. Insufficient sunlight for charging.
3. Solar panel is dirty.
1. Ensure the switch is in the 'On' position (LEDs blink 3 times).
2. Relocate the light to an area with more direct sunlight.
3. Clean the solar panel.
Light is dim or only stays on for a short time.1. Insufficient charge.
2. Solar panel is obstructed.
3. Battery capacity reduced over time.
1. Allow for 1-2 full days of direct sunlight charging.
2. Clear any obstructions from the solar panel.
3. Ensure proper charging conditions are met.
Motion sensor is not detecting movement.1. Obstruction in sensor's field of view.
2. Light mounted too high or low.
3. Sensor is dirty.
1. Clear any objects blocking the sensor.
2. Adjust mounting height to optimize detection range.
3. Gently clean the sensor lens.
