Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to safely install your new replacement stylus:

  1. Power Off: Disconnect your turntable from the power outlet before beginning installation.

  3. Remove Old Stylus: Carefully grasp the old stylus assembly (the plastic housing holding the needle) and gently pull it forward and down, away from the cartridge body. Avoid touching the cantilever or needle tip.

  5. Install New Stylus: Hold the new Durpower replacement stylus by its plastic housing. Align the stylus with the cartridge body and gently push it upwards and backwards until it clicks securely into place. Do not force it.
  6. Verify Installation: Visually confirm that the stylus is seated correctly and firmly attached to the cartridge. The needle should be visible and centered.

Operating Instructions

Once the stylus is installed, follow your turntable's standard operating procedures. Here are general guidelines for optimal performance:

  • Tracking Force: Ensure your turntable's tracking force is set according to your cartridge manufacturer's recommendations. Incorrect tracking force can damage records and the stylus.
  • Anti-Skate: Adjust the anti-skate setting on your tonearm to prevent the stylus from pulling towards the center or edge of the record.
