Maketheone IR Torch 3W 850NM Infrared Night Vision Flashlight - Model IR850-3W-AA User Manual

Brand: Maketheone | Model: IR850-3W-AA

1. Introduction

This user manual provides detailed instructions for the Maketheone IR Torch 3W 850NM Infrared Night Vision Flashlight, model IR850-3W-AA. This device is an infrared (IR) illuminator designed to enhance the performance of night vision devices. It is important to understand that this is not a standard flashlight for general illumination.

The 850nm infrared light emitted by this torch is invisible to the human eye. To utilize this IR illuminator, it must be used in conjunction with night vision devices such as night vision monoculars, goggles, or non-IR filter cameras. A small, faint red glow may be visible on the LED when the torch is active, indicating operation.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Invisible Light: The infrared light emitted by this device is not visible to the naked eye. Do not attempt to look directly into the LED while the device is operating, as prolonged exposure to intense IR light may be harmful.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery type (1x AA). Ensure correct battery polarity during installation. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • Operating Environment: This device is water-resistant, but not waterproof. Avoid submerging it in water. Do not operate in extremely high temperatures or near flammable materials.
  • Children: Keep out of reach of children.

6.2 Adjusting the Beam (Zoom Function)

The IR Torch features a zoomable head to adjust the beam focus. Rotate the head of the flashlight to change between a focused spotlight and a wider flood effect.

  • Zoom Out (Defocus): Rotating the head to zoom out provides a longer, narrower beam, ideal for illuminating distant objects.
  • Zoom In (Focus): Rotating the head to zoom in provides a shorter, wider beam, suitable for broader area illumination.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the flashlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Clean the lens gently with a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the AA battery when the light output diminishes or the device fails to turn on.
  • Storage: Store the IR Torch in a cool, dry place. Remove the battery if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery leakage.
