Operating Instructions

The Avaya 1XU-2001 module provides 24 programmable buttons, typically used for speed dials, line appearances, feature access codes, or monitoring other extensions. The functionality of each button is configured through the Avaya IP Office system administration.

Button Functionality

  • Programmable Buttons: Each of the 24 buttons can be assigned a specific function by your system administrator. Common functions include:
    • Speed Dial: One-touch dialing to frequently called numbers.
    • Line Appearance: Access to additional incoming/outgoing lines.
    • Feature Keys: Quick access to system features like call transfer, conference, or voicemail.
    • Busy Lamp Field (BLF): Monitor the status (busy/idle) of other extensions.
  • Labels: The display adjacent to each button will show the assigned function. These labels are typically configured by the system administrator.

Using the Buttons

To use a programmed button, simply press the button corresponding to the desired function. For example, to dial a speed dial number, press the button labeled with that contact's name or number.

For detailed information on specific button programming and advanced features, consult your Avaya IP Office system administrator or the main system's user manual.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • To clean the module, gently wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong detergents, as these can damage the plastic and electronic components.
  • Ensure the module is disconnected from power before cleaning.
