3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adaptor to the projector's power input port.
  2. Plug the power adaptor into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. The power indicator light on the projector should illuminate.

3.3 Connecting Input Devices

The UC40 projector supports multiple input sources. Choose the appropriate cable for your device.

  • HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your laptop, gaming console, or Blu-ray player to the projector's HDMI port.
  • VGA: Connect a VGA cable from your computer to the projector's VGA port.
  • AV: Use the provided 3-in-1 AV cable to connect to devices with composite video and stereo audio outputs.
  • USB/SD Card: Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slots for direct media playback.

3.4 Positioning and Focus

  1. Place the projector on a stable, flat surface, perpendicular to the projection screen or wall.
  2. Adjust the projection distance (0.3m to 3m) to achieve the desired screen size.
  3. Rotate the focus ring on the projector lens until the image appears sharp and clear.
  4. Use the keystone correction dial (if available) to adjust the image shape if it appears trapezoidal.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press the power button on the projector or the remote control. The indicator light will change, and the projector lamp will turn on.
  • Power Off: Press the power button again. Confirm shutdown if prompted. Allow the projector to cool down before unplugging.

4.2 Input Source Selection

After powering on, use the "Source" button on the remote control or projector panel to cycle through available input sources (HDMI, VGA, AV, USB, SD). Select the input corresponding to your connected device.

4.3 Menu Navigation

Use the arrow keys and "OK" button on the remote control or projector panel to navigate the on-screen display (OSD) menu.

  • Picture Settings: Adjust brightness, contrast, color, and aspect ratio (16:9 or 4:3).
  • Sound Settings: Control volume. Note: An external speaker may be required for optimal audio experience.
  • Time Settings: Set sleep timer.
  • Option Settings: Language selection, factory reset.

4.4 Media Playback (USB/SD)

When a USB drive or SD card is inserted, the projector will typically prompt you to select the media type (Movie, Music, Photo, Text). Navigate to your desired file and press "OK" to play.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Lens

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the projector lens. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive force, which can scratch the lens.

5.2 Cleaning the Projector Body

Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

5.3 Lamp Life

The LED lamp in your UC40 projector has an estimated lifespan of over 20,000 hours. No user replacement is typically required for the LED lamp itself. Ensure proper ventilation to maximize lamp life.
