6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting Watering Frequency
Rotate the left dial, labeled 'Frecuencia' (Frequency), to select how often you want the watering cycle to occur. Options include:
- Every 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, 24, 48, 72 hours
- Once a week (indicated by a clock icon)
6.2 Setting Watering Duration
Rotate the right dial, labeled 'Duración' (Duration), to select the length of each watering cycle. Options include:
- 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes
6.3 Delay Function
The programmer features a delay function. After inserting batteries, the programmer takes the exact time as the start time. You can delay the start of the first watering cycle from 1 to 12 hours using the 'Delay' button (if available, or by adjusting the start time through battery insertion).
6.4 Manual Operation
To manually open or close the water flow, use the designated manual button or lever on the programmer. This allows for immediate watering outside of the programmed schedule.
6.5 Reset Function
To reset the programmer, locate the 'Reset' button (often a small pinhole) and press it with a thin object. This will clear all settings and return the unit to its default state.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the programmer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator illuminates or when the programmer stops functioning as expected. Always use new alkaline batteries.
- Winter Storage: During freezing temperatures, disconnect the programmer from the tap and store it indoors to prevent damage from ice expansion.
