4. Assembly Instructions
Assembly is generally straightforward. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratching. Refer to the included Assembly Guide for detailed, step-by-step instructions and diagrams.
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert each caster stem into the holes at the end of each leg of the 5-star base until they click securely into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the larger end of the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled base.
- Attach Armrests to Seat: Align the armrests with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure them using the provided screws and an Allen wrench. Ensure the armrests are oriented correctly (left and right).
- Attach Backrest to Seat: Connect the backrest assembly to the seat mechanism, typically located on the underside of the seat. Secure with screws.
- Place Seat Assembly onto Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the top of the gas lift cylinder, ensuring it is centered. Apply downward pressure to secure.
After assembly, test all functions and ensure all connections are secure before regular use.
5. Adjustments and Operation
Proper adjustment of your task chair is crucial for ergonomic support and comfort.
5.1 Seat Height Adjustment

- To Raise Seat: While standing, pull the lever located on the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at the desired height.
- To Lower Seat: While seated, pull the lever located on the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.
The seat height can be adjusted between 18 inches and 23 inches.
5.2 Backrest Height Adjustment (Ratchet Back)

- To adjust the backrest height, grasp the backrest firmly with both hands and lift it upwards. You will hear a clicking sound as it moves through different height positions.
- To lower the backrest to its lowest position, lift it to its highest point, then release it. It will drop to the lowest setting, allowing you to re-adjust upwards.
5.3 Armrest Adjustment
- Height Adjustment: Press the button located on the side of each armrest support. While holding the button, move the armrest up or down to the desired height. Release the button to lock it in place.
- Side-to-Side Adjustment: The armrests can also be adjusted horizontally. Gently push or pull the armrest pad to move it inward or outward.
6. Care and Maintenance
Regular care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your chair.
- Cleaning: The fabric upholstered seat and mesh back should be spot cleaned only. Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Do not saturate the fabric. Test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first.
