Tools Required (Not Included)

- Soft cloth or rag
Installation Instructions
- Prepare the Area: Turn off the main water supply to your home. Open a faucet to relieve any remaining water pressure in the pipes.
- Remove Existing Showerarm (if applicable): If replacing an old showerarm, carefully unscrew it from the wall fitting using an adjustable wrench. Clean any old sealant or debris from the wall opening and threads.
- Apply Plumber's Tape: Wrap plumber's tape clockwise around the threaded end of the new Jaclo showerarm that will connect to the wall fitting. Apply 3-4 layers of tape to ensure a watertight seal.
- Install Showerarm: Carefully thread the showerarm into the wall fitting by hand. Ensure it is straight and the 60-degree bend is oriented correctly for your showerhead. Once hand-tight, use an adjustable wrench to tighten it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Avoid overtightening.
- Install Escutcheon Plate (if applicable): Slide the escutcheon plate (if using one, sold separately) over the showerarm until it sits flush against the wall, covering the opening.
- Connect Showerhead: Apply plumber's tape to the exposed threaded end of the showerarm. Thread your showerhead onto the showerarm by hand, then tighten with an adjustable wrench an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.
- Test for Leaks: Turn the main water supply back on slowly. Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, tighten the connections slightly until the leak stops. Do not overtighten.
Operation
The Jaclo 8043-ACU Brass Showerarm functions as a conduit for water from your wall fitting to your showerhead. Once installed, operate your shower as usual. The 60-degree angle is designed to position your showerhead optimally for a comfortable showering experience.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: To maintain the antique copper finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Spot Cleaning: For stubborn spots, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then rinse thoroughly with water and dry immediately.
- Avoid Wax-Based Cleaners: Do not use wax-based cleaners, as they can build up and dull the finish.
