Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your appliance.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. The cooking surfaces are nonstick. Use a soft, damp cloth or sponge with mild soap to wipe them clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as this can damage the nonstick coating.
  3. All removable parts (egg cooking ring, sliding plate) are top-rack dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  5. Store the appliance in a dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Breakfast Burrito Maker, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Appliance not heating: Ensure the appliance is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the power light is on.
  • Food sticking to plates: Ensure the nonstick surfaces are clean and free from residue. A light spray of cooking oil before use can help, though typically not required for nonstick surfaces.
  • Food not cooking evenly: Verify that the ingredients are spread evenly within the cooking ring. Adjust cooking time as needed for desired doneness.
  • Excessive steam: This is normal during cooking as moisture evaporates from ingredients. Ensure the appliance is placed in a well-ventilated area.
