Maintenance and Care
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). It is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.
Cleaning
Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For resin bands, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly with fresh water, then dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or materials.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery. Battery life varies depending on usage of features like the backlight and sensors. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it indicates a low battery. Replace the battery at an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper sealing and functionality.
Troubleshooting
Incorrect Time Display
If the analog hands do not match the digital time, perform the analog hand adjustment procedure described in the "Initial Setup" section.
Inaccurate Sensor Readings
- Altimeter: Calibrate the altimeter frequently using a known altitude. Atmospheric pressure changes can affect readings, so re-calibration is recommended before critical measurements.
- Thermometer: Ensure the watch is removed from your wrist for accurate temperature measurement, as body heat significantly impacts readings. Allow 20-30 minutes for the watch to acclimate to ambient temperature.
- Barometer: Sudden weather changes can cause rapid fluctuations. Ensure proper calibration and understand that readings reflect local atmospheric pressure.
Display is Blank or Dim
This may indicate a low battery. Replace the battery at an authorized service center. If the issue persists after battery replacement, contact customer support.
