3. Setup

3.1 Attaching the Servo Base

The TX Servo Base can be securely attached to a desk or table using the included metal central attachment system. It also features built-in screw threads for mounting to racing cockpits.

  1. Place the TX Servo Base on a stable surface.
  2. Use the clamp to secure the base to your desk or table. Tighten the clamp until the base is firmly in place.
  3. Alternatively, for cockpit mounting, align the screw threads on the base with your cockpit's mounting points and secure with appropriate screws (not included).

3.2 Connecting Peripherals

The TX Servo Base is part of the Thrustmaster ecosystem, allowing for interchangeable components.

  • Racing Wheel: Attach your Thrustmaster detachable racing wheel (e.g., TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On, Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On) to the servo base. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  • Pedal Set: Connect your Thrustmaster pedal set (e.g., T3PA, T-LCM) to the designated port on the servo base.
  • Shifter (Optional): If using a Thrustmaster shifter (e.g., TH8A), connect it to its dedicated port.

Connect the power cable to the TX Servo Base and then to a wall outlet. Ensure the connection is firm. A significant amount of force may be required to fully insert the power cord.

3.4 System Connection

Connect the USB cable from the TX Servo Base to your gaming system (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or PC).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Force Feedback System

The TX Servo Base features a 900-degree next-generation Force Feedback racing simulator base. It utilizes a new dual-belt, friction-free optimized mechanism to deliver ultra-responsive and realistic force effects without latency.

  • Rotation Angle: The rotation angle is adjustable up to 900 degrees. Refer to your game's settings or Thrustmaster's official support for specific adjustment procedures.
  • Force Feedback Intensity: Force Feedback intensity can be adjusted within your game settings. It is recommended to start with moderate settings and adjust to your preference.

4.2 Xbox Guide Button

The TX Servo Base includes an integrated Xbox Guide button for easy navigation within the Xbox interface.

4.3 Internal Memory and Firmware

The servo base features internal memory and upgradeable firmware. Firmware updates are performed via PC compatibility to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the TX Servo Base. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the unit.

5.2 Firmware Updates

Periodically check the official Thrustmaster website for firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and resolve potential issues. Firmware updates typically require a PC connection.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is fully inserted into both the servo base and the wall outlet. Verify the outlet is functional.
  • No Force Feedback:
    • Check in-game settings to ensure Force Feedback is enabled and adjusted to a visible level.
    • Ensure the latest firmware is installed.
    • Some games may have specific Force Feedback issues; consult game-specific forums or support.
  • Wheel Not Recognized:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to your system.
    • On PC, install the latest drivers from the Thrustmaster website.
    • Restart your console or PC.
  • Loose Attachment: If the base feels unstable, re-tighten the clamp or check cockpit mounting screws. The strong Force Feedback requires a very secure mounting.
