Thank you for purchasing the Marathon Digital Desktop Clock. This clock features an easy-to-read 3.5-inch display, temperature and date functions, and a dual alarm with snooze and backlight. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your new clock.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The clock requires 2 AA batteries (included).
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
- Remove the cover by sliding it downwards.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.

2. Initial Power On
Once batteries are installed, the clock will power on automatically. The display will show default settings.
Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the control buttons located on the back of the clock:
- MODE: Toggles between Time, Alarm, and Date display modes. Used to confirm settings.
- BELL Icon (Alarm): Activates/deactivates the alarm.
- UP Arrow: Increases values during setting.
- DOWN Arrow: Decreases values during setting.
- C/F: Toggles temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- RESET: Resets the clock to factory default settings.
Setting Time and Date
- Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
- Use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the hour.
- Press MODE to confirm the hour and move to minutes. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the minutes.
- Continue pressing MODE to cycle through and set the year, month, and day using the UP or DOWN arrows.
- After setting the day, press MODE to exit setting mode.
Setting Temperature Unit
Press the C/F button to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
Setting Alarm
- Press the MODE button repeatedly until the alarm time is displayed (indicated by a bell icon).
- Press and hold the BELL Icon button for 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The alarm hour digits will flash.
- Use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the BELL Icon button to confirm the hour and move to alarm minutes. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the BELL Icon button again to exit alarm setting mode.
- To activate or deactivate the alarm, simply press the BELL Icon button once. A bell symbol on the display indicates the alarm is active.
Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button (usually located on top of the clock) to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes.
Backlight
Press the SNOOZE button to activate the blue backlight. The backlight will remain lit for approximately 10 seconds.
Language Settings
The day of the week can be displayed in seven languages: English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Danish, and German. To change the language:
- Enter time setting mode by pressing and holding the MODE button for 3 seconds.
- Press MODE repeatedly until the language setting flashes (usually after setting the date).
- Use the UP or DOWN arrows to cycle through the available languages.
- Press MODE to confirm your selection and exit setting mode.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the clock, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.
Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the "Setup" section. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AA batteries.
