5.2.1 Power Connection (BATT+)
- Run a heavy gauge power cable (e.g., 8 AWG or larger for 1000W) directly from the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery to the BATT+ terminal on the amplifier.
- Install an in-line fuse holder with a fuse (appropriate amperage, typically 40-60A for a 1000W amplifier) within 18 inches (45 cm) of the battery.
5.2.2 Ground Connection (GND)
- Connect a heavy gauge ground cable (same gauge as power cable) from the GND terminal on the amplifier to a clean, unpainted metal surface of the vehicle's chassis.
- Ensure the ground point is free of paint, rust, or dirt for a good electrical connection. The cable length should be as short as possible, ideally less than 3 feet (1 meter).
5.2.3 Remote Turn-On Connection (REMOTE)
