The Orient WV0071SE is a solar-powered quartz watch, designed for reliability and convenience. It features a durable stainless steel construction and is water-resistant for everyday use.

2. Setup

2.1 Initial Charging (Solar Powered)

Your Orient WV0071SE watch is powered by light. Before initial use, or if the watch has stopped, expose the dial to bright light (natural sunlight is ideal) for several hours to ensure it is sufficiently charged. Avoid placing the watch in direct sunlight for extended periods in extremely hot environments, as this may damage the watch.

2.2 Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (located on the side of the watch) out to the second click position.
  2. Set the time: Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time setting, it is recommended to set the time a few minutes ahead and then turn it back to the correct time.
  3. Set the date: Push the crown in one click to the first click position. Rotate the crown to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the date change mechanism.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its normal position to start the watch and ensure water resistance.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.

4.2 Water Resistance

This watch is rated for 10 bar (100 meters) water resistance, suitable for everyday use, including showering and swimming in shallow water. However, it is not suitable for diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

4.3 Solar Charging Tips

  • Expose the watch to light regularly to keep it charged.
  • Avoid prolonged storage in dark places, as this can deplete the power reserve.
  • If the watch stops, expose it to bright light for several hours to reactivate it.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Ensure the watch has been sufficiently charged by exposing it to bright light for several hours. Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
  • Incorrect time/date: Refer to Section 2.2 for instructions on how to set the time and date.
  • Date changes at noon: This indicates the AM/PM setting is incorrect. Advance the time by 12 hours.

If problems persist, please contact customer support or an authorized service center.
