3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Headphones

Before initial use, fully charge the headphones.

1. Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the charging port on the headphone.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
3. The LED indicator will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, blue for fully charged).
4. A full charge typically takes approximately 1-2 hours.

Note: The polymer 80mAh battery provides approximately 7 hours of talk/playing time and 175 hours of standby time on a full charge.

3.2 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

The AYL QY8 headphones can be paired with any Bluetooth-enabled device.

1. Ensure the headphones are turned off.
2. Press and hold the Multi-Function Button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
3. On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "QY8" from the list of found devices.
5. If prompted for a password, enter "0000".
6. Once paired, the LED indicator will flash blue periodically, and you may hear an audible confirmation.

Dual Device Pairing: These headphones support simultaneous connection with two Bluetooth devices. After pairing with the first device, disable Bluetooth on that device. Then, pair with the second device following the steps above. Once the second device is paired, re-enable Bluetooth on the first device. The headphones should now be connected to both.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 3 seconds until the blue LED flashes.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 3 seconds until the red LED flashes briefly and then turns off.

4.2 Music Playback

• Play/Pause: Press the Multi-Function Button once.
• Next Track: Long press the Volume Up button.
• Previous Track: Long press the Volume Down button.
• Volume Up: Short press the Volume Up button.
• Volume Down: Short press the Volume Down button.

4.3 Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-Function Button once.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 2 seconds.
• Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multi-Function Button.
• Transfer Call (Headphones to Phone): During a call, press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 2 seconds.
