This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Baomain KG316T-II 220V DIN-Rail LCD Micro-Computer Electric Power Time Controller. This Digital Timer is accurate to the minute, designed with either 17 or 18 ON/OFF events per day.

Setup and Installation

Wiring Connection

WARNING: SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARD. Wiring should be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect power before wiring.

Connect the incoming power supply to the "POWER" terminals (L and N). Connect the device to be controlled to the "LOAD" terminals (N and L). Ensure correct polarity and secure all connections.

For 240V applications in the US, connect the two line side wires to the two left side terminals (L and N for input) and the load side to the two right side terminals (N and L for output). Both neutral and ground wires typically bypass the timer.

Operating Instructions

Programming the Timer

The timer features a clear LCD display and several buttons for programming:

• C: Cancel/Reset button.
• D+: Adjust day of the week.
• H+: Adjust hour.
• M+: Adjust minute.
• Clock icon: Set current time.
• P: Program setting button.
• Manual: Toggle ON, AUTO, or OFF.
• Red button: Reset timer before programming.

A. Adjusting Clock

Press and hold the Clock icon button, then press D+, H+, and M+ keys respectively to adjust the current day, hour, and minute. The timer operates in 24-hour format (0:00-23:59).

B. Setting Programs (ON/OFF Operations)

1. Press the P key. The LCD screen will show "1^st ON".
2. Press D+ key to select any of the 15 combinations of daily programs for your application. Repeatedly pressing D+ will cycle through the available day combinations.
3. Press H+ and M+ respectively to set the desired hour and minute for the "1^st ON" event.
4. After finishing setting the "1^st ON" event, press the P key again. The screen will now show "1^st OFF".
5. Press D+ key to select any of the 15 combinations of daily programs for your application. Repeatedly pressing D+ will cycle through the available day combinations.
6. Press H+ and M+ respectively to set the desired hour and minute for the "1^st OFF" event.
7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to set subsequent ON/OFF programs (up to 17 or 18 pairs).
8. After completing all desired program settings, press the Clock icon button to exit programming mode and return to the current time display. The timer will now start to execute the programs.

Important: Day-combination chosen in each of the ON/OFF program periods must be consistent.

Manual Override

Press the Manual button to cycle through the output states: ON, AUTO, or OFF. In AUTO mode, the timer follows the programmed schedule. Manual ON/OFF will override the program until the next programmed event.

Maintenance

The Baomain KG316T-II timer switch requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery: The built-in lithium battery has an average life of 3 years. If the display is off or the red light is constantly on, the battery may need charging or replacement. Allow time for the battery to charge if the red light is on.
• Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it is kept in a dry, cool environment within the specified ambient temperature range (-10°C to +40°C).
