5. Controls and Functions

  • Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.

6. Setup

6.1 Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power Operation:

  1. Ensure the unit is OFF using the Mode Selector switch.
  2. Insert the supplied AC power cord into the AC IN jack on the back of the unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.

Battery Operation:

  1. Ensure the unit is OFF and disconnect the AC power cord.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
  3. Insert 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6.2 Antenna Setup

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. For AM reception, the unit uses a built-in antenna, so no adjustment is needed.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 CD Playback

  1. Slide the Mode Selector switch to the 'CD/AUX' position.
  2. Gently lift the CD compartment lid.
  3. Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the center spindle.
  4. Close the CD compartment lid securely. The display will show the total number of tracks.
  5. Press the Play/Pause (►/−−) button to start playback. The first track will begin playing.
  6. To pause playback, press the Play/Pause (►/−−) button again. Press it once more to resume.
  7. To stop playback, press the Stop (■) button.
  8. To skip tracks, press the Next (►►) or Back (◄◄) buttons.
  9. To repeat the current track, press the Repeat button once during playback. To repeat all tracks, press it twice.
  10. To play tracks in random order, press the Random button before or during playback.

7.2 AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Slide the Mode Selector switch to 'AM' or 'FM'.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for FM reception.
  3. Rotate the Tuning dial to select your desired radio station.
  4. Adjust the Volume dial to your preferred listening level.

7.3 Auxiliary Input (AUX)

  1. Slide the Mode Selector switch to the 'CD/AUX' position.
  2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the side of the boombox.
  3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
  4. Start playback on your external device. The audio will play through the boombox speakers.
  5. Adjust the volume using both the boombox's Volume dial and your external device's volume controls.

8. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
