- Remove the filters by pulling the release latches.
- Wash filters in a dishwasher or by hand with hot water and soap.
- Ensure filters are completely dry before reinstalling.
Exterior Cleaning
Clean the stainless steel exterior with a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fan does not turn on | No power supply; damaged cord/plug | Check power connection, circuit breaker. Contact qualified electrician if cord/plug is damaged. |
| Low airflow/poor suction | Clogged filters; improper ducting; external factors | Clean or replace filters. Ensure ducting is correctly installed and free of obstructions. Verify external vent is not blocked. |
| Excessive noise | Improper installation; loose parts; ducting issues | Ensure all mounting hardware is secure. Check for loose components. Inspect ducting for kinks or restrictions. Note that some noise is normal, especially at higher fan speeds. |
| Lights not working | Bulb failure; electrical connection issue | Check if LED lights need replacement. Verify electrical connections. |
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact COSMO customer support.
