Setup
1. Initial Cleaning

2. Filter Preparation
Remove the new PUR filter from its packaging. Submerge the filter in cold water for 15 minutes to prepare it for use. This helps to remove any loose carbon dust and ensures optimal performance.
3. Filter Installation
Insert the prepared filter into the filter housing. Twist the filter clockwise to secure it firmly into place. Ensure a snug fit to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.

4. First Use
Fill the top reservoir with tap water. Allow the water to filter through completely. For the first two fillings, it is recommended to discard the filtered water to flush out any remaining carbon dust. After this, your pitcher is ready for regular use.

Operating Instructions
Filling the Pitcher
Open the easy-fill lid and pour tap water into the top reservoir. The water will slowly filter through the PUR filter into the main pitcher. The stay-tight lid allows for pouring even while water is still filtering.
Pouring Filtered Water
Once the water has completely filtered into the main pitcher, you can pour it for consumption. The comfort-grip handle ensures easy and secure pouring.

Filter Life Indicator
The lid features a filter life indicator. Press the button on the lid to check the filter status. A green light indicates the filter is OK, yellow means replace soon, and red means replace now. This indicator helps you know when it's time to change your filter for optimal performance.
Maintenance

Sometimes, air bubbles from the tap can get trapped; try filling a separate container first and then pouring that water into the pitcher's reservoir.
- Unpleasant Taste/Odor: Ensure the filter has been properly prepared and installed. If the taste persists, the filter may need to be replaced, especially if it's nearing the end of its 2-month or 40-gallon lifespan.
- Lid Issues: If the lid feels wobbly or comes off easily, ensure it is properly aligned and snapped into place. Some users find that gluing the water filler lid closed can provide a more secure feel if not frequently used for direct faucet filling.
