Introduction

Welcome to the exciting world of the Marvel Avengers Trouble Game! This classic race-ahead bump-back game brings your favorite Marvel superheroes to life. Designed for 2 to 4 players, this game is perfect for family game nights and superhero enthusiasts aged 5 and up.

In this Marvel-themed version of the family favorite Trouble game, players choose to play as Marvel’s Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, or Thor as they try to move all 4 of their heroes safely around Captain America's shield. If a player pops Captain America's shield on the Pop-O-Matic dice roller, Captain America gets added to the team to help protect its other heroes. When a player lands on an opponent's space, the opponent gets sent back home. The player to get their heroes onto the finish stars first wins! Includes the iconic built-in Pop-O-Matic dice roller.

Setup

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all game components from the box. Ensure you have the gameboard, Pop-O-Matic dice roller, Captain America figure, 16 hero movers, and the game guide.
2. Place the Gameboard: Lay the gameboard flat on a stable surface.
3. Position Hero Movers: Each player selects a set of 4 hero movers (e.g., Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, or Thor). Place your 4 chosen hero movers in your designated "BASE" area on the gameboard.
4. Place Captain America Figure: The Captain America figure is used during gameplay. Keep it accessible near the gameboard.

How to Play

Objective

Be the first player to move all four of your hero movers from your "BASE" area, around the gameboard, and into your "FINISH" area.

Gameplay

1. Starting the Game: The youngest player goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
2. Your Turn: On your turn, press the Pop-O-Matic dice roller to roll the die.
3. Moving Your Movers:
   • To Move a Mover from BASE: You must roll a 6 to move a hero mover from your "BASE" area to your "START" space. If you roll a 6, you may move a mover to "START" or move a mover already on the track. You also get to roll again.
   • Moving on the Track: Move any one of your movers on the track clockwise the number of spaces indicated by the die roll.
   • Landing on an Opponent's Space: If your mover lands on a space occupied by an opponent's mover, the opponent's mover is sent back to their "BASE" area.
   • Captain America's Shield: If you roll a 1, you can place the Captain America figure on any space occupied by one of your own movers. This mover is now protected from being sent back to "BASE" by opponents. If an opponent lands on a protected mover, they are sent back to their "BASE" instead. The Captain America figure stays with that mover until you roll another 1, at which point you can move it to protect a different mover.
4. Entering the FINISH Area: Once your movers have completed a full circuit around the board, they can enter your "FINISH" area. You do not need to roll the exact number to enter the "FINISH" area. The first player to get all four of their movers into their "FINISH" area wins the game!
