1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your GoWISE Power 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter. This device converts 12V DC power from a battery source into 120V AC power, suitable for various applications including vehicles, marine vessels, camping, and emergency power situations. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use.
2. Safety Information
- Electrical Hazard: Always disconnect the inverter from the battery before performing any maintenance or making connections.
- Ventilation: Ensure the inverter is installed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block the cooling fan vents.
- Moisture Protection: This inverter is not waterproof. It MUST NOT be installed where it could get wet or damp.
- Overload Protection: Do not exceed the inverter's continuous power rating (1000W) or surge power rating (2000W). Overloading can damage the inverter and connected devices.
- Battery Compatibility: Verify the maximum amperage of your battery and its compatibility with the inverter. Consult your battery manufacturer if unsure.
- Proper Grounding: Ensure the inverter is properly grounded according to local electrical codes.
- Children and Pets: Keep the inverter out of reach of children and pets.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Mounting: Choose a dry, well-ventilated location for the inverter. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow, especially around the cooling fans.
- Grounding: Connect a grounding wire (not included) from the inverter's grounding screw to a suitable ground point (e.g., vehicle chassis, earth ground).
- Battery Connection:
- Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Connect the red battery cable's ring terminal to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V DC battery.
- Connect the other end of the red cable to the red (+) terminal on the inverter.
- Connect the black battery cable's ring terminal to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V DC battery.
- Connect the other end of the black cable to the black (-) terminal on the inverter.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Loose connections can cause overheating and damage.
- Remote Switch Connection: Plug the remote switch cable into the 'Remote On/Off' port on the inverter's front panel.

6. Operating Instructions
- Powering On: Press the 'Power' button on the inverter's front panel or the 'ON/OFF' button on the remote switch. The green 'Power' LED indicator should illuminate.
- Connecting Devices: Plug your 120V AC devices into the standard AC outlets or your 5V USB devices into the USB port.
- Monitoring: Observe the 'Power' and 'Protect' LED indicators. The 'Power' LED indicates normal operation. The 'Protect' LED indicates a fault condition (e.g., overload, over-voltage, under-voltage, thermal shutdown).
- Powering Off: Press the 'Power' button on the inverter or the 'ON/OFF' button on the remote switch. The green 'Power' LED will turn off.
Important Considerations:
- The inverter's cooling fan will activate automatically when needed to maintain optimal operating temperature.
- Avoid connecting appliances that exceed the inverter's continuous power rating.
- For sensitive electronics, the pure sine wave output ensures stable and clean power, similar to household electricity.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry, soft cloth. Ensure cooling vents are free from dust and debris.
- Connection Check: Regularly inspect battery cable connections for tightness and corrosion. Clean terminals if necessary.
- Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
8. Troubleshooting
If the inverter is not functioning correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power output, 'Power' LED off | Inverter off; loose battery connections; low battery voltage; blown fuse. | Turn inverter on; check and tighten battery connections; charge battery; check and replace external fuses if applicable. |
| 'Protect' LED illuminated | Overload; over-voltage; under-voltage; thermal shutdown. | Reduce load; check battery voltage; allow inverter to cool; ensure proper ventilation. |
| Inverter shuts off randomly when remote is connected | Faulty remote switch or cable. | Disconnect the remote switch and operate the inverter using the main power button. If the issue resolves, replace the remote switch. |
| USB port not providing power | Faulty USB port; incompatible device. | Test with a different USB device and cable. If still not working, the port may be defective. |
| Fan is loud or pulses | Normal operation under load; fan malfunction. | Fan noise is normal under load. If noise is excessive or pulsing without heavy load, ensure vents are clear. If problem persists, contact support. |
