Setup and Initial Adjustment

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the binoculars and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present: binoculars, carry case, neck strap, and cleaning cloth.
  2. Adjusting Eyecups: If you wear eyeglasses, fold down the rubber eyecups to bring your eyes closer to the ocular lenses. If you do not wear eyeglasses, leave the eyecups in the up position.
  3. Adjusting Interpupillary Distance (IPD): Hold the binoculars with both hands and look through them. Bend the body of the binoculars at the hinge until you see a single, clear circular field of view. This adjusts the distance between the eyepieces to match the distance between your pupils.
  4. Focusing:
    1. Choose a distant object to focus on.
    2. Close your right eye and rotate the central focus wheel until the image in your left eye is sharp.
    3. Close your left eye and open your right eye. Rotate the right diopter ring (located on the right eyepiece) until the image in your right eye is sharp.
    4. Now, with both eyes open, the image should be clear. For subsequent viewing, only use the central focus wheel to adjust focus for different distances.

Operating Your Binoculars

  • Viewing: Hold the binoculars steady and look through the eyepieces. Use the central focus wheel to bring objects into sharp focus.
  • Magnification: These binoculars provide 10x magnification, meaning objects appear 10 times closer than they are to the naked eye.
  • Objective Lens Diameter: The 25mm objective lenses gather light, contributing to the brightness and clarity of the image.
  • Field of View: The field of view refers to the width of the area you can see through the binoculars at a specific distance.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. Breathe lightly on the lenses to create moisture, then gently wipe with the cloth in a circular motion. For stubborn spots, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
  • Cleaning Body: Wipe the rubber-armored body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store your binoculars in the provided carry case when not in use. Keep them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the binoculars or subjecting them to severe impacts, as this can misalign the optical components. Do not attempt to disassemble the binoculars.
